• Begin by washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Pat dry them with a towel. Alternatively, you can use an alcohol swab to clean your finger, ensuring the fingertip is completely dry before testing.
• Remove a test strip from the box and insert it into the glucometer’s slot just before pricking your finger.
